Students are expected by a strict code of conduct while at school. Disciple is imperative in the character building of a child. Mangalam Higher Secondary School insists that although freedom is provided it must utilised productively in a monitored system. As a student of Mangalam one must be

No indisciplinary activities would be tolerated on campus.

Dismissal

Students indulging in foul practices would be referred to a disciplinary committee. If found guilty, they are charged for the damages and services. In any case of misbehavior the parents would be informed and necessary disciplinary measures would be taken to protect the integrity of the school.

Parental Co-operation

Parents are asked to sign a bond owing all responsibility for the child’s’ misbehavior at the school that might hamper the veracity and reputation of the school.

Security deposit – Compensation

Damage done to the buildings, furniture, library books, sports goods etc., must be compensated. The school authorities reserve the right to take appropriate disciplinary action including dismissal, against any student whose conduct is detrimental to the moral tone, discipline and educative atmosphere of the school.

Punctuality

Latecomers after school details would be penalized based on the circumstances under which the leave was taken. This is to protect the strict policy of the school and maintain its discipline.

Attendance

Students are required to maintain at least 95% of attendance in an academic year to be promoted to the next class. Failure to pass this hurdle will result in detainment if no appropriate clarification has been provided. All clarifications will be verified by the respective heads of the department.
